PAST HABITABLE ENVIRONMENT ON MARS

(10/05/2023)

By Nicolas Mangold.
My activities are split between in-situ analyses of Curiosity and Perseverance data and orbital data analyses from space missions such as Mars Express, MRO and ExoMars-TGO.
I have the honor to be a PANGEAE instructor for ESA since 2016, providing astronauts knowledges of the geology of the Moon and Mars, and of Earth's rock in the field.
I participate to Curiosity and Perseverance rover operations as a co-investigator of the French-US ChemCam and SuperCam instruments and as Long Term Planner. This role provides a guidance to the team to keep the scientific intents on a daily to weekly basis, and chair the scientific discussions that lead to strategic choices for these two rover missions.
