Mary Beth Laychak is the Director of Strategic Communications for Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope and has extensive experience in communications strategy, public relations and project management. She is a collaborative leader who connects organizations to effectively achieve their common goals. Mary Beth has also served at many local schools in North Hawaiʻi and regularly partners with school administrators and teachers to enhance student learning and achievement. Mary Beth has a bachelor’s degree in astrophysics and a master’s degree in education.
As soon as the first images captured by the James Webb telescope were published in July 2022, we started to produce a report where the sky describers entered the scene. Astronomers, astrophysicists, instrument specialists, data analysts, all have exposed their contribution to the exploration of the sky, their fascination in front of the immensity of the cosmos and the questions that remain unanswered. This video is part of a series made in Hawaii and on the West Coast of the United States.
